For the next Grundioso MAXI Single with Music and Movement we shot a video for the St Deluxe track "Stupid Ideas".

It was shot in and around a disused railway tunnel somewhere near Perth and I can tell you it was pretty cold, damp and it's own fair share of bats!!

In other news we should have St Deluxe back in the recording studio with some new material that they have been busy working on.

We have been helping out our good friend Markus from the German label "Aufgeladen und Bereit" to set up a launch party for the forthcoming compilation album which features some of the best talent glasgow has to offer..

It's an acoustic show in Mono in Kings Court in Glasgow and will feature Future Pilot AKA (backing band will also be St Deluxe), Popup, St Deluxe, Endor, Kid Twist, Wake the President, Tibi Lubin and Down the Tiny Steps. It's free and will start at 3 o'clock. We hope you can make it the special event it deserves to be.

    
         
         
         
 

 

First off we all had a great time as St Deluxe played at the Wickerman Festival on a very cool wooden stage which probably was burned as part of the celebrations!! Hopefully we can all go back next year..

next for is a tasty bill on a friday at the barfly in glasgow which we are all looking forward to..

We are busy beavering away with the next Grundioso MAXI single which has St Deluxe track "Stupid Ideas" and a brand new track recorded at Riverside Studios from Music and Movement called "Nobel Prize". Which is fantastic!! Check back here for info about dates and gigs to support the release.

Grundioso are pleased as punch to say that the gigs we just completed with German band "Like a Stuntman" were great fun and went fantastically well too!!!

the "Like a Stuntman" album "Fresh air is not the worst thing in town" is out now on HighPoint Lowlife Records who can be found here

we even found time to get them into Riverside recording Studios to record a version of "she don't use Jelly" by the flaming lips!!

which we are all really surprised at how well it turned out for a unplanned session. probably due to the legend that is Duncan Cameron!! cheers Dunc,

The next club at the barfly will have BLINDFOLD, ST DELUXE and THE MITFORD GIRLS!!! Blindfold feature member of AMPOP who recently had a number one in the Icelandic charts and the Mitford girls are good friends o ours from Glasgow.. (thurs 30th March - £5).. The first grundioso club night on 10th of march went extremely well with a heart melting set from gene from linus blanket,.. the starlets rocking in a not so shy way and our very own st deluxe… well…and if that wasn't enough Norman Blake spun many a fine tune into the wee small hours..

club grundioso part two was on the 21 st April and with a set from international airport, st deluxe (again..) and Pete Dowling (laptop set – Glasgow improvisers orchestra, Ken). Plus Dj set from Stephen Pastel.
